Introduction

AuraVoxa Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of AuraVoxa, a speech and expression analysis platform developed and operated by Cognispace, LLC.

AuraVoxa is built on the Cognispace Framework, a structured architecture for mapping how internal cognition becomes outward expression. The platform applies interpretive constructs derived from that framework to acoustic signals, vocal patterns, and speech-derived data to produce structured analytical outputs.

Relationship to Master Terms

These AuraVoxa Terms supplement the Cognispace Master Terms of Service, which remain in effect and are incorporated herein by reference. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the Master Terms with respect to AuraVoxa, these Terms control. For any subject not addressed here, the Master Terms govern.

By accessing or using AuraVoxa, you agree to be bound by both these Terms and the Cognispace Master Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not access or use AuraVoxa.

Section 1

Platform Description and Scope

1.1 What AuraVoxa Does

AuraVoxa is a cloud-based speech and expression analysis platform that processes audio recordings, voice data, and related content to produce structured interpretive outputs. The platform applies the Cognispace Framework's analytical constructs — including signal-derived indicators, deliberation flow assessment, articulation origin mapping, and authenticity gradient analysis — to submitted audio content.

Platform outputs are descriptive, interpretive, and probabilistic. They are not clinical assessments, diagnostic determinations, psychological evaluations, or factual conclusions about any individual.

1.2 Services Included

For purposes of these Terms, “AuraVoxa” and the “Platform” include:

  • The AuraVoxa web application and dashboard interfaces
  • Audio file upload, processing, and analysis workflows
  • Session management, transcript generation, and output reports
  • Signal-derived analytical overlays and framework-aligned indicators
  • API access for programmatic integration (where available under plan)
  • Enterprise workspace environments and administrative controls
  • Customer support and service desk access
  • Documentation, guides, and developer resources

1.3 Framework Governance

AuraVoxa operates under the interpretive authority of the Cognispace Framework Canon. All analytical vocabulary, construct definitions, and interpretive boundaries applied by the Platform are governed by that canon. Outputs produced by AuraVoxa derive their analytical meaning from it and must be understood in that context.

Governance Note

The Cognispace Framework is not subordinate to any product-level configuration, customization, or deployment decision. The framework governs the interpretive standard; the Platform implements it. Review the Cognispace Framework Canon for full context.

Section 2

Acceptable Use — AuraVoxa Specific

The acceptable use requirements of the Cognispace Master Terms of Service apply in full to AuraVoxa. The following provisions supplement those requirements with platform-specific obligations.

2.1 Authorized Use of Audio Content

You may only submit audio content to AuraVoxa that you have the lawful right to process. This includes content you own, content you have obtained explicit authorization to analyze, and content submitted in compliance with applicable privacy law, employment law, consent requirements, and any applicable institutional or organizational policy.

You represent and warrant that each audio file or data input submitted to AuraVoxa has been collected lawfully, with appropriate notice or consent where required by applicable law or regulation.

2.2 Consent Requirements

Where applicable law requires consent prior to the recording, processing, or analysis of an individual’s voice or speech, you are solely responsible for obtaining and documenting that consent before submitting content to AuraVoxa. Cognispace does not verify consent on your behalf and assumes no liability for consent failures attributable to your submission practices.

Regulated Industries

Enterprise customers in healthcare, financial services, legal, and government sectors are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable consent, notification, and data handling requirements in their jurisdiction.

2.3 Prohibited Audio Processing Uses

In addition to the prohibited conduct in the Cognispace Master Terms of Service, you may not use AuraVoxa to:

  • Process audio content of individuals who have not provided consent where consent is required by applicable law
  • Analyze voice recordings obtained through unauthorized interception, covert surveillance, or deceptive collection
  • Use platform outputs to make employment-related decisions without substantial independent human assessment and legal review
  • Use platform outputs as the basis for clinical diagnosis, psychological assessment, or any medical determination
  • Use platform outputs to support legal sentencing, risk scoring, parole assessment, or any punitive decision-making framework
  • Build secondary profiling systems that aggregate platform outputs across sessions or individuals to construct persistent behavioral or psychological profiles
  • Process audio content in violation of wiretapping, eavesdropping, or electronic surveillance law in any applicable jurisdiction
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense platform outputs as a standalone data product to third parties without express written authorization from Cognispace

2.4 Professional Responsibility

Users who are licensed professionals — including attorneys, clinicians, therapists, human resources practitioners, and compliance officers — remain fully subject to their professional obligations and ethical codes when using AuraVoxa. Platform outputs do not substitute for professional judgment.

Section 3

Audio Data Handling

3.1 Submitted Audio Content

Audio files and voice data submitted to AuraVoxa are processed solely for the purpose of generating the analytical outputs you have requested. Cognispace does not use submitted audio content to train general-purpose models, build external datasets, or develop products unrelated to delivering the Services to you.

3.2 Processing Pipeline

Audio submitted to AuraVoxa is processed through signal extraction, acoustic feature derivation, framework construct application, and output generation workflows. Processing is automated. Cognispace personnel do not routinely review submitted audio content except for security incident investigation, legal compliance, or where you have specifically requested support.

3.3 Derived Outputs

Analytical outputs, session reports, signal-derived indicators, and framework-aligned assessments generated from your submitted content are associated with your account and workspace. These derived outputs are subject to the data handling and retention practices described in the Cognispace Privacy Policy and any applicable enterprise agreement.

3.4 Retention of Audio Files

Uploaded audio files are retained in association with your account for the duration of the session or project period, as configured under your plan or enterprise agreement. You may delete uploaded audio content at any time through the Platform interface, subject to applicable legal holds and backup cycle schedules.

3.5 Enterprise Audio Governance

Enterprise customers that configure custom retention, deletion, and access policies for their workspace govern the handling of audio content within those parameters. Enterprise administrators are responsible for ensuring their configurations comply with applicable law.

Section 4

Subscription Plans and Access Tiers

4.1 Available Plans

AuraVoxa is offered across multiple access tiers for individual researchers, professional users, and enterprise deployments. Specific features, processing limits, API access levels, storage quotas, and support entitlements are described in the pricing schedule at auravoxa.com/pricing and in any applicable order form or enterprise agreement.

4.2 Individual and Professional Plans

Individual and professional subscriptions are billed in advance on the applicable billing cycle. All billing terms in the Cognispace Master Terms of Service apply.

4.3 Enterprise Plans

Enterprise access is governed by a Master Services Agreement or enterprise order form executed between Cognispace and the customer. Where an enterprise agreement exists, it supplements these Terms and governs in the event of conflict with respect to commercial terms, SLA commitments, data processing obligations, and security requirements.

4.4 Free Trials and Evaluation Access

Trial access is subject to these Terms and any additional trial-specific limitations communicated at enrollment. Cognispace reserves the right to terminate trial access at its discretion and to convert trial accounts to paid accounts at the end of the trial period with advance notice.

4.5 Plan Modifications

Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. Upgrades take effect immediately. Cognispace does not provide prorated refunds for unused portions of a billing period following a downgrade, except where required by applicable law or enterprise agreement.

Section 5

API Access and Integration

5.1 API Availability

Programmatic access to AuraVoxa via API is available under plans that include API entitlement. API access is subject to these Terms, the Cognispace Master Terms of Service, and the technical documentation available at auravoxa.com/docs.

5.2 Rate Limits and Usage Quotas

API usage is subject to rate limits and processing quotas defined by your plan tier. Cognispace reserves the right to enforce rate limits, throttle requests that exceed plan entitlements, and temporarily suspend API access for accounts that materially exceed permitted usage levels.

5.3 API Key Security

You are responsible for the security of your API keys and access tokens. API keys must not be embedded in client-side code, publicly accessible repositories, or shared in environments where unauthorized parties may access them.

Security Requirement

Cognispace is not liable for unauthorized Platform usage resulting from compromised or improperly secured API keys. Notify Cognispace promptly upon discovery of any suspected key compromise at security@cognispacehq.com.

5.4 Authorized Integration Use

API access is authorized solely for integration with your own products, workflows, and internal systems. You may not resell API access, offer AuraVoxa’s processing capabilities as a standalone service to third parties, or use API access to build competing speech analysis products without express written authorization from Cognispace.

5.5 API Changes

Cognispace may modify, deprecate, or version API endpoints with reasonable advance notice. Breaking changes to stable API endpoints will be communicated with a minimum deprecation notice period appropriate to the nature of the change.

Section 6

Service Levels and Availability

Cognispace targets high availability for AuraVoxa’s core processing and dashboard services during normal operating conditions. Specific uptime commitments, if any, are set forth in applicable enterprise agreements. In the absence of a written SLA, the warranty disclaimer in the Cognispace Master Terms of Service applies.

Cognispace may perform scheduled maintenance that results in temporary service interruption. Where reasonably practicable, advance notice will be provided through the Platform dashboard, status page, or administrative communications. Audio processing times may vary based on file length, queue volume, plan tier, and infrastructure conditions. Time-critical processing requirements should be addressed through enterprise agreement negotiation.

Section 7

Outputs, Limitations, and Human Review

These provisions supplement the Cognispace Master Terms of Service and apply specifically to AuraVoxa’s speech and expression analysis outputs.

7.1 Nature of AuraVoxa Outputs

Outputs produced by AuraVoxa — including session reports, signal indicators, framework construct assessments, authenticity gradients, articulation origin traces, and dominance mapping results — are:

  • Descriptive and observational, not determinative
  • Probabilistic, not certain
  • Contextually bounded by the content submitted
  • Dependent on signal quality, recording conditions, and input fidelity
  • Subject to the interpretive limits of the Cognispace Framework

Outputs do not establish fact, confirm intent, determine psychological state, or support categorical conclusions about character, identity, or capability.

7.2 Signal Quality Dependency

The accuracy and reliability of AuraVoxa outputs are directly affected by the quality of submitted audio. Recordings with significant background noise, compression artifacts, overlapping speakers, poor microphone quality, or atypical acoustic conditions may produce outputs of reduced reliability. Users are responsible for assessing whether input quality is sufficient for their intended use case.

7.3 Framework Boundary Alignment

All AuraVoxa outputs are produced within the interpretive boundaries established by the Cognispace Framework Canon. Outputs will not be generated, labeled, or communicated in terms that exceed those boundaries — including clinical language, diagnostic framing, or determinative characterizations. Users and enterprise customers must not present AuraVoxa outputs using language that implies clinical, legal, or scientific authority not represented in the Platform.

7.4 Mandatory Human Review

Non-Negotiable Condition of Use

As required under the Cognispace Master Terms of Service and the Ethics & Responsible Use Policy, qualified human review must be applied before any AuraVoxa output is used to inform consequential decisions affecting any individual — including employment actions, clinical assessments, legal proceedings, security determinations, educational evaluations, and financial decisions.

Section 8

Intellectual Property — AuraVoxa Specific

These provisions supplement the Cognispace Master Terms of Service.

8.1 Platform and Framework IP

The AuraVoxa platform, including its signal processing architecture, analytical pipeline design, output schema, framework construct implementation, user interface, and all underlying software, constitutes proprietary intellectual property of Cognispace, LLC. The Cognispace Framework constructs implemented within AuraVoxa are additionally governed by the Cognispace Framework Canon.

8.2 Your Output Rights

Subject to these Terms and your plan entitlement, you may use, export, and incorporate analytical outputs generated from your submitted content into your own work products, reports, and internal workflows. You may not represent those outputs as independently validated, clinically authoritative, or scientifically certified without independent verification performed outside the Platform.

8.3 No Reverse Engineering of Analytical Systems

Prohibited

You may not attempt to reverse engineer, reconstruct, replicate, or extract the signal processing logic, scoring algorithms, construct weighting systems, or model architectures underlying AuraVoxa’s analytical pipeline. This prohibition applies regardless of the technical method used, including systematic probing, output pattern analysis, or API-based extraction attempts.

Section 9

Enterprise-Specific Provisions

9.1 Workspace Administration

Enterprise customers that provision AuraVoxa workspaces bear responsibility for administering user access, configuring data governance settings, enforcing acceptable use requirements, and ensuring that their users operate in compliance with these Terms.

9.2 Data Processing Addendum

Enterprise customers whose use of AuraVoxa involves processing personal data subject to GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable data protection law may execute a Data Processing Addendum with Cognispace. Enterprise customers are encouraged to request a DPA prior to deployment in regulated contexts by contacting enterprise@cognispacehq.com.

9.3 Custom Deployment Requirements

Enterprise customers with requirements for regional data residency, custom retention schedules, enhanced security configurations, dedicated infrastructure, or specialized SLA commitments should address those requirements through their enterprise agreement.

9.4 Audit Rights

Enterprise customers with executed agreements that include audit rights may exercise those rights in accordance with the terms of the applicable agreement, subject to reasonable advance notice, scope limitations, and confidentiality obligations.

Section 10

Modifications, Suspension, and Termination

These provisions supplement the Cognispace Master Terms of Service.

10.1 Platform Modifications

Cognispace may modify AuraVoxa’s features, analytical frameworks, output formats, and processing capabilities over time. Material changes that affect the interpretive scope or output semantics of existing analytical constructs will be communicated in advance.
